RECENT PROJECTS

2025 Projects include enhancements for The Captains Golf Course as well as community donations.  Friends provides annual donations to the Lower Cape Outreach Food Bank and Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center.  College scholarships are provided to Nauset men and women, as well as the summer youth recreation program.

The Friends clock has been installed at the first tees.  This gorgeous addition will keep members and guests on time for many rounds to come!

The daffodils planted by Friends volunteers on the annual planting days were spectacular!

HYDRATION STATION

Friends of The Captains purchased the Hydration Station on the 14th tee of the Port Course.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR JUNIOR AND HIGH SCHOOL GOLFERS

Annual Scholarships for High School Golfers, $500 each for a male and female golfer.

 

Annual Scholarships for Junior Golfers, $150 each, up to six per year.

WARM UP HITTING NETS

​

​

Nets for loosening up prior to your round were installed adjacent to the front putting green.

FURNISHINGS

​

Provided patio furniture including tables, chairs and umbrellas.

​

Provided five benches for the driving range.

​

Provided furniture in Freeman's Grill.

​

Replaced umbrella stands.

DIVOT MIX BOXES

​

​Six Divot Boxes were constructed by Friends member Dave Villandry and placed at tee boxes throughout both the Port and Starboard courses.
